Lockwood Primary School (current enrolment 145) is situated in an expanding rural/residential area, 14 km southwest of Bendigo and caters for the first seven years of formal schooling. After many years of planning, a new school facility was taken possession of in September 2000. The buildings are designed to capture the rural identity that has been indicated as a priority by the school community. The open plan and great care that has been taken to focus on the needs of the children, is reflected in the colours and classroom usability.  

The school is very proud of the contribution it makes towards the education of our local community.  

The school has well equipped facilities which include:

·    Art Room
·        Library
·       Computer Lab
·        IT facilities in each classroom. All classrooms have interactive whiteboards.
·        Multipurpose Shed / Kitchen  

The school also runs an Outside School Hours Care program which operates from 7:00am-8:30am and 3:30pm-6:00pm respectively.   Our OSHC program is a registered service and child care benefits/rebates are available.   Our OSHC program also participates in the Active After School Community Program twice weekly where children are able to try out many different activities such as soccer, lacrosse, dance, rock wall climbing just to name a few.  

2009 has also seen the introduction of a school bus for eligible students. Further information about this service can be obtained from the school if required.
